For the syrup: | |
6 kg of sugar | |
8 kg of water | |
2 lemons, whole, for the smell |
1. | Mix all the ingredients well and divide the material in a suitable baking sheet. |
2. | Bake for 50´ minutes in the oven, at 170 degrees. |
3. | When you take it out of the oven, cut it into pieces of your choice. |
4. | As soon as it cools down, prepare the syrup. |
5. | Boil it for 10´ minutes and pour it on the surface of the cold samali, being careful not to damage it. |
6. | You can add some vanilla to the syrup, if you like. |
