Ingredients

15 glasses of water
15 glasses of orange juice
6 kg of fine semolina
4 1/2 kg coarse semolina
3 and 1/2 kg of sugar
100 g of ammonia
400 g baking powder
2 teaspoons of vanilla
For the syrup:
6 kg of sugar
8 kg of water
2 lemons, whole, for the smell

Execution

1.Mix all the ingredients well and divide the material in a suitable baking sheet.
2.Bake for 50´ minutes in the oven, at 170 degrees.
3.When you take it out of the oven, cut it into pieces of your choice.
4.As soon as it cools down, prepare the syrup.
5.Boil it for 10´ minutes and pour it on the surface of the cold samali, being careful not to damage it.
6.You can add some vanilla to the syrup, if you like.
